She was Director of Social Services in Gwynedd for many years and used her very wide experience when contributing to club issues. She served as President of the club in\u00a0 1975 \/ 1976 and then became Region President ( then Divisional Union ) 1979 \/ 1980\u00a0 and followed that by becoming the DU Benevolent Fund representative from 1981 &#8211;\u00a0 1986.<br \/>\nLucille was a very active member both at club and\u00a0 region attending conferences and meetings regularly. She made very valuable contributions to the work of the club and was particularly interested in projects in relation to children and the elderly.\u00a0 Lucille was very active during the setting up of Child-line Cymru and her advice and wise counsel was always appreciated. Since her retirement Lucille was very\u00a0 active in her local Chapel in Caernarfon and was a Board member for CAIS but\u00a0 due to ill health she was not able to attend as many meetings as she would have wished. However members made sure she had a lift when required and kept in touch with her.<br \/>\nLucille always enjoyed Soroptimist activities and many of us have had the pleasure of her company on outings, conferences and many other Soroptimist events.
