It was a lovely get-together and so good to catch up and chat with friends.\u00a0\u00a0Honorary Member Enid joined us and enjoyed the company too.\u00a0\u00a0Jenie\u2019s lovely crafts were sold together with a variety of colourful plants donated by members and of course a VERY well supported raffle.\u00a0\u00a0A very big \u2018thank you\u2019 to Diane and her helpers for organising the event and to Sue who organised \u2018Rondo\u2019\u00a0\u00a0a major UK independent multi-genre production company for sponsoring our delicious teas prepared by Becws Mon.\u00a0\u00a0We raised an amazing \u00a3946.00 for President Marianne\u2019s charity.<\/p>\n<p>Diane provided everyone with beautiful orange fans &#8211; the 25th of every month is Orange Day, and SIGBI launched a new initiative on 25 May 2023, for Soroptimists to hold an \u2018Orange Cafe\u2019 (members meet for chat and coffee) and this initiative is to raise awareness to end violence against women and children.\u00a0\u00a0Many thanks to Jenny for the beautiful \u2018orange\u2019 themed table decorations, it was a very thoughtful and hospitable afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What a wonderful day we all had again at Diane\u2019s beautiful home in Benllech on&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":818,"featured_media":5292,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-5291","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-club-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Summer gathering August 2023 | News | Blog | Events | SI Bangor and District<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"SI Bangor and District : Blog &amp; News : Summer gathering August 2023 : Keep up to date with the latest news, articles and events from the Soroptimists of SI Bangor and District .
