I’m Anne Griffith, and I am married with 3 grown-up children living in
\nSpain, New York and London. I’ve been a Soroptimist since 2006 and
\nNEVER imagined I would be Club President, but somehow here I am. I’ve
\nrecently started Zumba and Pilates in order to keep my strength up for
\nthe year ahead!
\nMy background is in teaching, specifically in Dyslexia tuition and
\nEnglish as an Additional Language but now I’m enjoying the busy and
\nvery varied life of a Soroptimist. My theme for the year is “Let’s use
\nour skills to bring dignity to others”,and I hope S.I. Bangor will do
\nthis through our support for Mary’s Meals, Young Carers, Teams4U and
\nFreedom From Fistula. I’d like to balance fundraising with practical
\naction and have deliberately chosen my charities to fit in with
\nProgramme Focus areas so we’ll be lobbying, marching, re-cycling,
\nknitting and soup-making, to name just a few activities in an
\natmosphere of fun and friendship, within our Club and with cluster
\nClubs too.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 HAPPY NEW SOROPTIMIST YEAR EVERYONE!
