What’s About to Happen?
Marine Conservation Beach Survey 2018.
SI Barry and District have taken part in the annual Marine Conservation Society beach Survey for many years. The results of the survey are collated with the information from beaches all around the UK and are used to indicate trends and inform campaigns, and ultimately Government Policy, such as the ban on plastic cotton bud sticks, which used to be found on the beach in great abundance.
Our adopted beach is Jackson’s Bay, We are meeting there at 3pm on Monday September 17th. The meeting point is at the bottom if the footpath that leads to the beach, at the top of the slope that leads directly down onto the beach itself.
