For the fourth year running, members of SI Beverley and District have been busy knitting miniature hats to support the Innocent Company’s Big Knit. Each hat that is sent to the company, earns a 25p contribution to Age UK.\u00a0 The hats are used to dress bottles of Innocent Smoothie\u00a0 and are sold through the Sainsbury stores in the new year.\u00a0 These funds will enable Age UK to provide blankets, hot meals, emergency heaters and winter warmth packs to elderly folk in need.<\/p>\n

\"20170112_113013\"<\/a>In the first year about\u00a0thirty hats were sent. In the\u00a0 second year this rose to fifty, in the third year we sent over\u00a0 hundred. But this year a massive 215 hats were knitted by members, friends and family for this deserving cause.<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

And we have already started knitting for the 2017 parcel !!!<\/span><\/h1>\n
