Subject:<\/strong>\u00a0Christmas Tree Festival thanks<\/span><\/p>\n Can I thank everyone who helped to make this year\u2019s \u201cFestival of Christmas Trees\u201d such a success?<\/span><\/p>\n Thanks to our sponsors, the people who donated trees (65 in all), the School Choirs who sang (9 in all) and the Community Choirs who sang (5 in all)<\/span><\/p>\n Thanks to the catering staff at St John’s Burlington\u00a0 who provide refreshments throughout the \u201cFestival\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The two weekends were a great community event and altogether around 70 different groups were involved i.e. schools\/uniformed organisations\/churches\/charities and local businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019m pleased to report that the profit for the \u201cFestival\u201d was \u00a32,751-49.<\/span><\/p>\n That is divided 60% to St Catherine\u2019s Hospice and 40% to Rotary local charities.<\/span><\/p>\n None of that would have been possible without the help and co-operation of so many people \u2013 thank you to you all.<\/span><\/p>\n John<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Lovely letter of thanks from the Christmas Tree committee.
