{"id":4671,"date":"2021-06-12T19:54:24","date_gmt":"2021-06-12T18:54:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/blackpool-and-district\/?p=4671"},"modified":"2021-06-24T16:31:09","modified_gmt":"2021-06-24T15:31:09","slug":"blackpool-club-are-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/blackpool-and-district\/2021\/06\/12\/blackpool-club-are-winners\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackpool Club are Winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">SI Blackpool &amp; District are very proud to have been awarded not 1 but 2 Trophies at our Regional Meeting this morning, Saturday 12th June 2021<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/blackpool-and-district\/files\/2021\/06\/Carnforth-Shield.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4675\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/blackpool-and-district\/files\/2021\/06\/Carnforth-Shield-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>The club was announced the winners of the Carnforth Trophy, which is for a long standing Programme Action project for the all work they have done with &#8220;Talking News&#8221; over many years. Even during the Pandemic over the last 14 months our members have been making recordings from home to pass on to Queen Alexandra Care Home, South Shore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/blackpool-and-district\/files\/2021\/06\/Haslingden-Shield-small-.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4677\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/blackpool-and-district\/files\/2021\/06\/Haslingden-Shield-small--150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>It was then announced that SI Blackpool &amp; District had also won the Haslingden Shield, which is for Membership, SI Blackpool &amp; District having recruited 3 new members and also retaining them, despite the difficulties of no face to face meetings since March 2020.
