The events of the last few months have been so overwhelming that we hope our President Carole Swarbrick will forgive us for not acknowledging publicly the honour of her being made an Alderman of Bolton.
Her work as a Councillor and her term of office as Mayor of Bolton were deservedly rewarded.
As our President from 2019 – 2020 she gave us a splendid year of social events, support for local charities and a range of interesting meetings.
The uncertainties of lockdown made us only too happy to accept her offer to continue as President until life returns to something more like normal.
