“Goodness Gracious” Beetle Drive

Goodness Gracious Glee at Bridgend Soroptimist event
President Elect Sue with Goodness Gracious Glee

Bridgend Soroptimists enjoyed a delightful fundraising event at The Heronston Hotel, Bridgend on Wednesday 27th January.

A beetle drive was held together with a silent auction, and following a buffet supper, entertainment by GOODNESS GRACIOUS GLEE, a ladies choral group from Briton Ferry. The ladies started their performance with some familiar Welsh songs and followed with a selection of songs from the shows, and popular numbers, some old, some not so old, but all well loved. It proved to be a Sing-a-long Soroptimist night.

We were delighted to welcome so many guests to the evening – quite possibly some prospective members!

The evening raised over £230 and President Bethan thanked everyone who had helped and contributed towards such a successful evening.

Good fun, good food and all for a good cause – Barnardo’s.
