Bridgend Soroptimists enjoyed a night of international fun in support of the Soroptimist International President’s 10th December appeal. The appeal for 2015 – 2017 is Educate to Lead: Nepal which aims to educate, empower and enable women and girls to overcome their adversity, stay safe and develop leadership skills that will in turn benefit their communities. International SI President Yvonne says, “The symbol of the project, a pink Soroptimist logo flower, represents beauty and fragility. It also represents full potential. This is achieved with care and the right nourishment. Our Appeal offers the same hope for women and girls in Nepal.”
The evening gave members the opportunity to reflect on the past year, as well as enjoy fun and friendship in the form of a quiz and festive nibbles.
