President Elect Cathie Rowe spent many months organising a walk on the South Wales Coastal Path to raise money for Soroptimist projects internationally and locally. On Saturday May 18th Soroptimist Clubs throughout South Wales took on the walking challenge. We were lucky to have a fine day and everyone enjoyed taking part.           We made it !!!!   Club member Helen, her Brownies, Mums and Club members at the end of their walk.

Past President Kathryn presented a cheque to the Eye Clinic at The Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend. The money had been raised by the Club during her year of office.

          Bridgend Soroptimists took part in the Llantwit Major and Cowbridge Lions May Fair on Monday May 6th. The Fair was very well organised and attended with good weather to make everyone happy. All tombola gifts disappeared and a very healthy amount was raised for President Barbara’s charity.

                            The Club AGM was recently held at The Rest Hotel in Porthcawl, which is one of the Club charities. After an enjoyable supper and chat the business of the evening was conducted and new President Barbara was installed.
