{"id":4495,"date":"2019-12-20T16:02:31","date_gmt":"2019-12-20T15:02:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/bridgend-and-district\/?p=4495"},"modified":"2021-09-02T15:34:45","modified_gmt":"2021-09-02T14:34:45","slug":"personal-reflections-and-christmas-wishes-from-our-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/bridgend-and-district\/2019\/12\/20\/personal-reflections-and-christmas-wishes-from-our-president\/","title":{"rendered":"Personal Reflections and Christmas Wishes from our President"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>My Personal Reflections and Christmas Wishes\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I\u2019d like to take a moment to share my thoughts with you.<br \/>\nAll the things we say and the great things that we do.<br \/>\nSoroptimists are caring, so thoughtful and so true.<br \/>\nOffering our skills, whilst imparting lots of knowledge too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">We give so freely of our time to many deserving cases<br \/>\nWhilst our International Women\u2019s Day walks<br \/>\nReally puts us through our paces.<br \/>\nFundraiser fashion shows and summer lunches, lots of fun<br \/>\nDinner at The Bear Hotel after a trip to the Physic Garden<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">We help out Barnardo\u2019s at Parc Prison<br \/>\nGiving Service where we can<br \/>\nProud winners of the Welsh Volunteers of the Year Award<br \/>\nFor a listening ear and genuine helping hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">We donate to Ty Hafan.<br \/>\nWhich is a very worthy cause<br \/>\nWe support Empowering Girls in Nepal<br \/>\nWe don\u2019t need any applause.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Educate Empower Enable<br \/>\nThat has always been the plan<br \/>\nWe do things because we care.<br \/>\nWe give our time, because we can<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Hosting teas for Contact the Elderly<br \/>\nSo good to see the ladies, with some time to laugh and smile<br \/>\nTea and Cake is served with love and friendship<br \/>\nWe aim to go that extra mile<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">SI Bridgend, you give so very much<br \/>\nI\u2019m a President who is proud<br \/>\nLet\u2019s share the Soroptimist vision<br \/>\nLet\u2019s share it really loud.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Always looking for new members<br \/>\nCome and join us, having fun<br \/>\nI\u2019m proud to be a Soroptimist<br \/>\nAnd I know I am not the only one<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The year so far has been productive<br \/>\nThanks to our team leaders doing well<br \/>\nYes we have three fabulous ladies<br \/>\nWho just love their roles ..
