This visit was part one of two, with Avonmouth&#8217;s treatment visit planned for June this year,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We learned what happens on the journey of our waste through several natural processes, resulting in clear and clean enough water to be returned to the environment, and the recycling of the by-products of these processes.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>A staggering 26 to 86 million litres of sewage is treated per day at the site.<\/div>\n<div>The treated effluent is discharged out to sea via Black Rock pumping station in Weston-super-Mare.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div>Our visit was very well organised by our Programme Action team members Sally and Lynda. Well done.
