{"id":7127,"date":"2026-03-24T19:52:04","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T18:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/bristol\/?p=7127"},"modified":"2026-03-24T19:53:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T18:53:04","slug":"a-warm-welcome-to-a-representative-from-womankind-bristol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/bristol\/2026\/03\/24\/a-warm-welcome-to-a-representative-from-womankind-bristol\/","title":{"rendered":"A Warm Welcome to a Representative from WomanKind Bristol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/bristol\/files\/2026\/03\/WomenKind-march-2026-2.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-7128\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/bristol\/files\/2026\/03\/WomenKind-march-2026-2-300x173.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"173\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/bristol\/files\/2026\/03\/WomenKind-march-2026-2-300x173.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/bristol\/files\/2026\/03\/WomenKind-march-2026-2.jpeg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>At our Club Meeting on Monday 23rd March, we welcomed a representative from WomanKind Bristol to talk about the charity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Womankind Bristol is a mental health charity run by women for women.\u00a0 They help hundreds of women to improve their mental health and wellbeing so they can experience a better quality of life.<\/p>\n<p>The charity has a Helpline, providing a dedicated listening ear and support for women to talk things through, whatever the reason.\u00a0 When women are going through difficult times, simply feeling heard and understood can make a big difference.\u00a0 \u00a0The helpline is there to support any woman or girl aged 16 and above who is in need of a listening ear.<\/p>\n<p>Helpline: 0117 916 6461\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0helpline@womankindbristol.org.uk<\/p>\n<p>Womankind offers one-to-one Counselling, a confidential space where women of all ages, cultures and backgrounds can feel safe and supported.\u00a0 Their General Counselling service is for women living in the Bristol area on low incomes or in receipt of state benefits who cannot afford the costs of therapy. There\u2019s also a fee paying general counselling for those who can afford to pay.<\/p>\n<p>Women access this service for many different reasons. Some of these might include: depression, anxiety, relationship problems, abuse of any kind at any time in their lives, bereavement, or low self esteem.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s also free and confidential counselling for young women and girls aged 16-18 in the Bristol area affected by domestic abuse.
