United Kingdom Programme Action Committee Study Day in July 2014

A Gala Dinner was held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in the University of Nottingham Campus, following a very successful Study Day organised by the United Kingdom Programme Action Committee, which was celebrating its 21 years of existence.   The pictures show Chair of UKPAC, Jan Hemlin, cutting the cake, surrounded by members of the UK PAC Committee from around the regions, including Sue Nickson representing Midland Chase Region.  The subject of the Day had been “Women Today in the UK”, but the particular focii had been on FGM, sexual exploitation of children, the work of the Prison Reform Trust, forced marriage and older women & domestic abuse.  Three Stewards were from SI Burton upon Trent and worked with a group of stewards led by Midlands East and SI Nottingham. (Thanks Valerie Burton for the photos.)
