International Women’s Day Dinner to launch Meru Women’s Garden Project.

SI Port Talbot Members invite you to celebrate International Women’s Day by joining them at a Fairtrade Continental Breakfast and listen with them to their guest speaker Karen Jewell, Consultant Midwife . . . Midwifery – so much more than delivering a baby . . . Domestic violence, FGM, trafficking, asylum seekers, child death . . .

This is the biennial Conference of the Future African Federation. More details will follow when known.
The general public are invited to attend this Rape and Sexual Violence talk.
The talk aims to create awareness of the new Sexual Violence Laws in Nigeria, to warn parents of the signs to look out for in cases of child rape and abuse, and how to protect your children from sexual predators.
If you cannot attend on this date, the talk is being run again on Saturday 21 May at 10am.

Members of SI Canterbury will be manning a stall at the Festival to raise awareness of Soroptimist International and of the Meru Women’s Garden Project based in Kenya. This is the 3 year project for Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) which will run from 2016-2019.
