Anglesey Soroptimists will be joining us at our information table to spread the news and hopefully recruit new members.
Bridging the gender gap – Colour the world orange
A walk as part ot the 16 days of action- Leave no one behind,Unite to end violence against women and girls.
A 5 mile walk along level paths and crossing the 4 main bridges between Ironbridge and Coalport.
Everyone is welcome including dogs. Please wear something orange.

International Night- We are really pleased to welcoming Emma Patton from ‘On Call Africa’ to join us at our International Night. On Call Africa assists thousands of people who would otherwise have little or no access to essential healthcare services, by working to strengthen and augment existing services.

A breakfast with a talk from a member of the Manor staff on an aspect of the history of the area. This is a social event to raise the profile of the club. Any monies raised will be donated to the President’s charities.
A 2 course meal followed by an after dinner talk from a local GP on her life as doctor and triathlete in the GB age group team.
A Rally to celebrate International Women’s Day to highlight the inequalities that still exist. photographs will be taken to put out on social media to emphasize #pressforprogress
Ross Little from Ovarian Cancer Action will be coming to the Medway Soroptimist meeting on 8th March giving a talk to raise awareness. A donation and a raffle will raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Action.
A very exciting IWD event will start on 8th March with a Day of Action – BBC Radio Merseyside at 07.20am to discuss Soroptimist – women inspiring action, transforming lives on IWD then 11am Executive Meeting; !.15 Sanitary protection to Food Bank; “pm Present a cheque fro MIND to Mayor of St Helens and discuss our actions; 3pm Books to Women’s refuge. #PressforProgress# Then on March 10th all women and their families are invited to a big IWD Fair in St Helens Town Hall. Educate, Empower through Healthy Living; Poetry workshop;Women into bricklayer and other exciting roles; over 20 Craft stall all selling handmade goods and run by Local women. Workshops to try new Clubs – Tai Chi, badminton, Diving, Poetry. Demonstrations of health and make up. Tasters of massage, nail treatments etc. and so much more. we are taking over the whole Town Hall for the whole day for a spectacular International Women’s Day which of course wouldn’t be complete without our Petitions to sign and of course Membership stall!!
Study Day to raise awareness with Inspirational Speakers on Hate Crime, Stalking, Girls in Gangs & The Blue Butterfly Badge. Cost includes refreshments & Lunch.
