Educate the World’s Girls
Members of Soroptimist International of Cambridge were joined by the Deputy Mayor of Cambridge, Cllr George Pippas and Mrs Pippas to celebrate International Women’s Day at Silver Street Bridge.
The Soroptimists joined members from across the region to dance out their message demanding “Education for the World’s Girls”. MP’s are being asked to urge the Government to encourage all countries around the world to provide a full education for the 40 million girls who presently can’t go to school.
Several hundred books have been collected to go to schools in South Africa
