Did you see us at the Market Square in Cambridge on November 26?

Cambridge Soroptimists had a stand in the Market Square (near the Guildhall) to show support for the White Ribbon Campaign (www.whiteribboncampaign.co.uk) and help to end violence against women.

Working with men is paramount in eradicating this issue and as Soroptimists we believe that engaging their support will improve the lives of women and girls across the World.

Violence of all kinds against women is one of our chief concerns. In addition to supporting this campaign, we also raise money for our local Women’s Aid centre and raise our voices to support its public funding.

The centre offers immediate refuge for women and their children fleeing from physical and emotional harm. They are helped to rebuild their lives and regain their confidence.
