Cannock Soroptimists held their AGM in April.\u00a0 One of the final tasks out-going President June Bould undertook was to acknowledge the years of service to Soroptimist International \u2013 and the Cannock & District club \u2013 that two members in particular have given.<\/p>\n

Lynne Tuckley joined the Club in 1999 and so has given 20 years of service to SI Cannock & District.\u00a0 To mark the occasion President June presented her with a long service certificate.<\/p>\n

Lynne has held the role of President within the club and has often served as a member of the Club\u2019s executive committee.\u00a0 She is known now as the Club\u2019s \u201cHospitality Hostess\u201d as she looks after everyone\u2019s meals and payments at each meeting at The Barns!<\/p>\n

Lynne is an accomplished embroiderer and has designed and made a beautiful cloth and a wall hanging to mark the Club\u2019s 50th<\/sup> and 60th<\/sup> Anniversaries.<\/p>\n

Georgette Stocking has been a member of the Cannock Club for 40 years but unfortunately was not well enough to attend the AGM.\u00a0 President June visited her at home to present her with her certificate to recognise 40 years of service \u2013 it is signed by SI Great Britain and Ireland President Sue Williams.\u00a0 Over the 40 years Georgette has worked on many committees and given service locally, particularly those concerned with improving the health of women.\u00a0 She was Dinner Secretary for many years as well as serving on the Executive committee on many occasions.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
