This year their thoughts turned to those women who support other women at a particularly emotional and potentially vulnerable time in their lives &#8211; our wonderful midwives who are present before, during and after childbirth.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5764259046p2\" style=\"margin: 0cm;margin-bottom: .0001pt;line-height: 150%\"><span style=\"font-size: 8.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5764259046p1\" style=\"margin: 0cm;margin-bottom: .0001pt;line-height: 150%\"><span class=\"yiv5764259046s1\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'\">Working in partnership with two of our other clubs in Midland Chase Region, SI Bilston and SI Wolverhampton, gifts of hand cream and lip salve were wrapped and labelled then taken to New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton and presented to the midwives, Health Care Assistants and support staff there to thank them for the care and compassion they have shown to the women of this Region this year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"yiv5764259046apple-converted-space\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"yiv5764259046s1\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'\">Working in the delivery suite can be emotionally and physically demanding and the Soroptimists\u2019 gifts, given to each member of the delivery suite, showed how much the work that they do is appreciated.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5764259046p2\" style=\"margin: 0cm;margin-bottom: .0001pt;line-height: 150%\"><span style=\"font-size: 8.0pt;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5764259046p1\" style=\"margin: 0cm;margin-bottom: .0001pt;line-height: 150%\"><span class=\"yiv5764259046s1\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'\">Soroptimists work to improve the lives of women and girls and this year were delighted to recognise the delivery suite team\u2019s dedication to the care of the women in our region. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cannock-and-district\/files\/2024\/12\/Christmas-2024-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5217\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cannock-and-district\/files\/2024\/12\/Christmas-2024-1-300x192.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cannock-and-district\/files\/2024\/12\/Christmas-2024-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5218\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cannock-and-district\/files\/2024\/12\/Christmas-2024-2-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5219\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5219\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cannock-and-district\/files\/2024\/12\/Christmas-2024-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5219\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cannock-and-district\/files\/2024\/12\/Christmas-2024-3-300x195.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"195\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5219\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em style=\"font-size: 16px\">Photos above:<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>\u00a0 \u00a01.
