Region Meeting<\/h2>\n
\"\"<\/a>On Saturday 21 May 2022, the Regional Meeting was held at The Imperial Hotel Llandudno.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The theme of the meeting was climate change and the first speaker was James Espley, waste manager of Conwy County Borough Council\u00a0who explained what happens to our recycling.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The second speaker was Clare Nasir, a meteorologist at the BBC who has also been a weather presenter on GMTV. She gave an interesting presentation on how climate change is affecting the weather.<\/p>\n

The \u2018BIG\u2019 raffle at our Regional Conference in February raised \u00a32,175 to be donated to 3 Mental Health charities representing our Region of Cheshire, North Wales and Wirral. Cheques for\u00a0\u00a3725 were presented to each chosen charity by Regional President Yvonne Johns and were very well received by representatives of the three charities:<\/p>\n
