The weekend of 7-9 September saw over 80 Soroptimists from around the South West and Channel Islands Region\u00a0descend\u00a0on Cirencester for the Regional Conferences & AGM.<\/p>\n

There is always time for a glass of wine during the Friendship Evening.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The weekend was hosted Regional President Shirley Alexander and her fellow members of Soroptimist International of Cirencester & District. \u00a0The weekend included a reception on Friday evening at the Bingham Gallery.<\/p>\n

The Region Annual General Meeting on Saturday was followed by a Conference.<\/p>\n

\"\"The Speaker\u00a0for the day\u00a0was Professor Chris Gaskell,\u00a0the Principal of the Royal Agricultural College here in Cirencester. \u00a0Professor Gaskell\u2019s subject was\u00a0The challenge of sustainability food supply and the role of women.\u00a0<\/strong>The meetings were held in the wonderfully historic surroundings
\nof the College.<\/p>\n

On Saturday evening there was a conference dinner and \u00a0Federation President Maureen Maguire paid a flying visit, courtesy of a fast car,\u00a0taking the evening off from a Federation Management Board meeting in London to join us. On Sunday morning there was an organised walk around around Cirencester, courtesy of the Civic Society[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
