Shockingly it is estimated that only 34% of female victims and 24% of male victims are known to the authorities and are therefore able to access support.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5076 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cockermouth\/files\/2025\/06\/mt-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cockermouth\/files\/2025\/06\/mt-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cockermouth\/files\/2025\/06\/mt-rotated.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5077 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cockermouth\/files\/2025\/06\/vs-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cockermouth\/files\/2025\/06\/vs-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/cockermouth\/files\/2025\/06\/vs-rotated.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Finally, we heard from Employers Initiative on Domestic Abuse\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/eida.org.uk\">http:\/\/eida.org.uk<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0an organization that strives to ensure that every employer is taking effective action on Domestic Abuse. They have a wide range of materials that can be used to support employers, both large and small in developing their Domestic Abuse policies and staff training materials.<\/p>\n<p>The conference provided us with an opportunity to share the work we are doing in the space and more widely.
