Soroptimists Worldwide<\/h3>\n

Friendship Links are the Soroptimists\u2019 way of connecting with other clubs worldwide to share projects, offer support and forge friendships.<\/p>\n

SI Crosby’s oldest connection is with SI Kalundborg<\/a> in Denmark. Also in Scandinavia we have links with SI Sigdal<\/a> in Norway and SI Falkenberg<\/a> in Sweden.<\/p>\n

Crosby’s Soroptimists have visited all three countries. In 2025 four members took up an invitation to visit Kalundborg. The Danish Soroptimists were keen to introduce their visitors to many of the landmarks and cultural features of their coastal city \u2013 not forgetting the local food!<\/p>\n

We get together at conferences; and have enjoyed day trips to meet up for sightseeing and a meal.<\/p>\n

In recent years we have established a link ‘down under’ with SI Joondalup<\/a> in Western Australia, and with SI Jesi<\/a>, in Italy. Italian Christmas greetings – a lovely surprise.<\/p>\n

Our Friendship Co-ordinator keeps in regular touch with all our links. In ‘Covid times’ and ever since, through Zoom technology, we have been able to share online events. We ‘travelled’ to Yorkshire<\/a> for a party; joined SI Jesi for part of their conference; took part in a Swedish meeting<\/a>; and welcomed worldwide guests to our celebrations on International Women’s Day<\/a>. Recently our President ‘attended’ a book launch<\/a> in Italy.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=”white” border_width=”4″][vc_single_image image=”6011″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
