Through the original Crosby Old People\u2019s Welfare and continuing with Age Concern, our club\u2019s most recent link has been with <a href=\"https:\/\/reengage.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Re-engage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Re-engage aims to provide social connections for older people at a time in their lives when their social circles are diminishing. The charity has therefore maintained the longstanding popular feature \u2018Flicks and Friends\u2019 at the Plaza Cinema, Crosby.<\/p>\n<p>We are delighted to welcome cinema-goers to\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/reengage.org.uk\/join-a-group\/flicks-and-friends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Flicks and Friends\u2019<\/a> &#8211; a <strong>FREE<\/strong> monthly film screening for the over-60s. Soroptimists help out with front-of-house and even litter collection. Smiley faces (and biscuits) encourage newcomers to settle down!<\/p>\n<p>2026 dates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>12 May at 1pm<\/li>\n<li>9 June at 1pm<\/li>\n<li>7 July at 1pm<\/li>\n<li>8 September at 1pm<\/li>\n<li>13 October at 1pm<\/li>\n<li>10 November at 1pm<\/li>\n<li>8 December at 1pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Doors open 12.15pm. No adverts or trailers &#8211; film starts at 1pm prompt.
