What do Soroptimists do<\/em>?<\/h2>\n

Each Soroptimist International club identifies the needs of its community, then establishes specific projects to address these needs. This service we call Programme Action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As a volunteer service organisation,\u00a0programme\u00a0work is\u00a0our\u00a0prime function.<\/p>\n

Our work is linked to the women-centred goals set by our ‘parent’ organisation, Soroptimist International. Soroptimists’ projects link with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals<\/a> – a framework that is led by the needs of \u2018people and planet\u2019.<\/p>\n

Soroptimists work on grassroots projects that help women and girls achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in communities worldwide.<\/p>\n

Soroptimists aim to transform the lives and status of women and girls through education, empowerment and enabling opportunities.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”white” border_width=”5″][vc_media_grid element_width=”3″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1746530265921-6c5b8224-eca3-3″ include=”5545,7167,5535,7458″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Many of our club projects relate to specific objectives such as Learning Opportunities, E<\/strong>conomic Empowerment, <\/strong>Violence and Conflict Resolution, <\/strong>Food Security and Healthcare, <\/strong>and Environmental Sustainability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

SI advocates for human rights and gender equality.
