{"id":3738,"date":"2017-05-12T10:42:20","date_gmt":"2017-05-12T09:42:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/crosby\/?p=3738"},"modified":"2017-05-13T19:53:19","modified_gmt":"2017-05-13T18:53:19","slug":"and-where-will-you-sleep-tonight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/crosby\/2017\/05\/12\/and-where-will-you-sleep-tonight\/","title":{"rendered":"And where will you sleep tonight ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Crosby Soroptimists heard from Ruth\u00a0McCaughley of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitechapelcentre.co.uk\">Whitechapel Centre <\/a>about their work combatting homelessness in Liverpool and presented her with a cheque to support their work.<\/p>\n<p>From rough sleepers \u00a0to sofa surfers the blight of homelessness is both open and hidden. It can happen very fast to all sorts of people and the reasons are complex.The Whitechapel team work with a range of clients from families to rough sleepers &#8211; people who find themselves without a safe place to live.<\/p>\n<p>The project also leads the &#8220;<strong>nosecondnightout<\/strong> &#8221; \u00a0initiative that encourages the public to tell them about rough sleepers so that they can, hopefully, bring them &#8220;inside&#8221; and off the street.
