At St Joseph\u2019s Hospice, staff and patients enjoyed the sight of the sparkling sleigh from their warm rooms.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=&#8221;white&#8221; border_width=&#8221;5&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;4935&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;bounceIn&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Crosby\u2019s Rotarians loan the sleigh each year to the Soroptimists. This Christmas, because of Covid-19 restrictions, the Soroptimist \u2018elves\u2019 could not collect cash donations. Instead, the Rotarians had set up text access. Into this communal \u2018pot\u2019 go all donations, with SI Crosby receiving its due share.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Smith, fundraising team leader said: \u201cThe evening was a success thanks to all-round teamwork. Club members, as well as Santa\u2019s extra helpers (chauffeur John and traffic-controller Bernie) worked hard and had a great evening\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Soroptimist President Chris Chua-Short added: \u201cWe must also have a special shout-out for Alasdair who shepherded everyone. He shone the spotlight on the children so that Santa could see them clearly and talk to them.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Crosby\u2019s Soroptimists once again accompanied Santa as he toured local streets on his sleigh.
