{"id":5818,"date":"2022-03-11T17:10:47","date_gmt":"2022-03-11T16:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/crosby\/?p=5818"},"modified":"2022-03-11T17:10:47","modified_gmt":"2022-03-11T16:10:47","slug":"soroptimists-on-target","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/crosby\/2022\/03\/11\/soroptimists-on-target\/","title":{"rendered":"Soroptimists on Target"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4>Crosby Soroptimists visited Crosby Hall Educational Trust (CHET) on International Women\u2019s Day.<\/h4>\n<p>The club has supported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chetcentre.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CHET<\/a> for many years, and this was an opportunity to celebrate the opportunities for girls and boys offered by the Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Graham Still-Blundell, CHET\u2019s Principal, showed members the new activity barn. This is a fantastic indoor space for \u2013 not least \u2013 archery and fencing. Of course, no one could resist having a go with the bows, under Graham\u2019s instruction.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=&#8221;white&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_media_grid grid_id=&#8221;vc_gid:1647014600276-470ca884-ecae-2&#8243; include=&#8221;5821,5825,5822&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Over the years SI Crosby\u2019s members have volunteered at a wide variety of CHET\u2019s events. The club has also contributed to the bursary fund, which supports pupils attending the Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Children from Sefton, Merseyside (and further afield) attend CHET for residential and day visits. The Centre is so popular that it is booked up for the full school year ahead, and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>CHET\u2019s next outdoor project will be the installation of a climbing wall.
