Six Crosby Soroptimists went on a Norwegian adventure.<\/h5>\n

This \u2018friendship visit\u2019 brought together Crosby, Kalundborg (Denmark) and Falkenberg (Sweden) club members in Sigdal, Norway.<\/p>\n

Sandy Taylor talks about the trip. \u201cWe were greeted warmly on arrival by our hosts and introduced to \u2018Lob Scouse\u2019 – very familiar, of course, to those of us from Liverpool.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Jill and I were hosted by Turi, who lives in a typical country house, previously owned by her great-grandfather. Turi and her family are artists. Can you imagine our surprise when we entered the living room to be greeted by Mr Moose! Shades of Monty Python?[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”white”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1695032160617-5bb41f54-24c6-5″ include=”6550,6552,6551″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\u201cWe were asked \u2018Who would like to go for a walk to see the Madonna & Baby?\u2019 Three of us were \u2018game\u2019. This is a famous landmark in Sigdal, but it was quite a hike. What a view, though. A lovely place for lunch and a well-deserved rest. The only snag \u2026 what goes up must come down. It was a tricky descent.<\/p>\n

\u201cDay 2 was centred on local culture, including Sigdal\u2019s famous church and its amazing altar. Then it was off to Henrietta\u2019s home for a sumptuous dinner. (We realised \u2018hjort\u2019 in Norwegian is not heart, bur venison. Thank goodness for that!) We swapped details of our Programme projects, and found out quite a bit about the other clubs\u2019 activities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe final day \u2026 more food! Breakfast was a feast, hosted in the Community Centre. Thoroughly fed and full of information we headed to the airport.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019d all had a great visit, packed with fun, friendship, food \u2026 and much laughter.
