It\u2019s \u2018all change\u2019 at Ince Blundell Hall \u2013 and Crosby\u2019s Soroptimists now have the latest information on developments.<\/h4>\n

Tina Walsh, from the Ince Blundell team, explained that the hall is being transformed into a centre dedicated to carers\u2019 respite. Until recently it was a nursing and convalescent home run by\"\"<\/a> Augustinian Nursing Sisters. Now, in partnership with Sefton Carers\u2019 Centre<\/a>, the new facility will offer unpaid carers a place to relax and rejuvenate.<\/p>\n

There are over 35,000 unpaid carers In Sefton Borough. They look after a family members or friends who have a long-term illness, or even a terminal condition. Yet carers themselves may have few \u2013 if any \u2013 opportunities to take a break to \u2018recharge their batteries\u2019. Their mental and physical wellbeing is challenged by the demanding role they undertake.<\/p>\n

The watchword at Ince Blundell is \u2018wellness\u2019. Tina told the Soroptimists that accommodation, catering and activities are all designed to offer carers a peaceful, personalised experience. Even for a brief stay of only 24-hours, carers will have the chance to unwind in a supportive, comforting environment, and to experience the delights of this fine 18th<\/sup> century mansion.<\/p>\n
