This year we are sharing the role of President among several of our members. Our previous president is now acting as the Club Secretary, but we think her message is so interesting that we are retaining it on this page for the time being.

Mrs. Susan Ellis-Roberts is a long standing resident of North Wales from a farming background. She was educated through the medium of Welsh in St Asaph and brings a bilingual  perspective to bear on her contribution to the Club.

A keen sportswoman who played county Squash, Sue also played in the men’s teams for the local clubs in North Wales, winning a few competitions along the way. She became a business woman, working with her husband in the family firm. This involved extensive travel, especially to China, which  broadened her horizons and gave insight into issues for women and girls in other countries, experience which contributes to her work in Soroptimism.

She us the devoted NainiSue (grandmother) of six, most of whom live close by and manage to keep the her busy.

Sue is proud to live in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd and enjoy its delights every day. She is committed to the ideals of Soroptimism and is currently serving  the Club in the office of Secretary, where her efficiency is much appreciated by the members.
