S I Derby have been busy making bundles to help new mums who are being supported by the Derby Community Parenting Project https://www.ripplez.co.uk/Pages/Category/pregnant-25-and-under
Early in the first lock down we were able to organise collection of several bags that we had made and filled with items that would be useful to the mum and baby during their hospital stay at the time of the birth, Items included are nappies, cotton wool balls, face wipes and lip salve for the mum during labour, maternity pads and breast pads . Thankfully it was a lovely sunny day when one of the volunteers came to collect the bags!
Shelley also gave us a talk via Zoom about the work that she is involved with – she is a very enthusiastic advocate of the service.
Following the talk, we have managed to produce 15 more bags which are to be collected in March as soon as it is allowed,
