SIGBI’s 3E Healthcare project with MCAI -THE “BIG” Project (Birthing in Gambia)
MCAI is an international medical charity dedicated to saving and improving the lives of seriously ill pregnant women, children and babies in areas of extreme poverty by empowering and enabling its in-country partners to strengthen emergency healthcare.
Over the 3 years to December 2015 as a Federation of Soroptimist clubs we raised £160633.
SI Derby took part in the fundraising and we also knitted hats for premature babies for MCAI to send to The Gambia – not fundraising, but fun and for a good cause. Here are some hats displayed at a garden party for the BIG project.
