PRESIDENTS’ MESSAGE
Club Presidents Debbie, Linda and Pat welcome you to our website page. We are very honoured to be the Club Presidents in this our 80th year.
Dewsbury Soroptimists are an active club of women who help improve the lives of women and girls. We help to make a difference locally, regionally and nationally.
Dewsbury Soroptimists support the local Refuge, runs a monthly Friendship Cafe in Mirfield Library, supports foods banks and we recycle everything!
Members raise awareness of women’s issues by campaigning, lobbying and using social media. We provide funds for projects. We meet twice a month at the Oakwell Centre, Dewsbury Hospital and also meet socially for fun, friendship and raising funds.
The Presidents Charity this year will go towards supporting the families that find themselves at the Refuge.
The work we do is called Programme Action, we write reports on the projects we have done and enter them on our data base. This work and the reports enable Soroptimist International to have a seat at the United Nations.
