Families helped by SHAX are often given a microwave as they may not have access to any other way of cooking.
One of our members put together a cookery book with recipes for healthy and economic meals that can be prepared using the microwave to go with it.
The cookery book has been very successful and has now been shared with similar projects in other areas.
