Over the last couple of years five members of SI Dundee have volunteered at the city’s Vice Versa Project. This ground breaking project is an outreach to street prostitutes, encouraging them to find exit strategies from street work.
The work of the volunteers won two SI accolades. The first was the SIGBI Programme Action Award which was presented at 2011 Brighton Conference; the other was Scottish Joint Conference, Programme Action Award in 2012. The Scottish award was a £200 prize and it was decided to give this money to the project.
Vice Versa staff accepted the cheque at our recent meeting;the money will go towards a laptop that clients can use while visiting the Vice Versa Centre.
