Trafficking in Scotland–October 22nd

Kathryn Sharp with IPP Pam Cairns

Trafficking in Scotland

Kathryn Sharp, Dundee Council’s Lead Officer in Violence against Women, gave a very informative and up to-date account of trafficking and modern slavery in Scotland.

The Dundee club members have a particular interest in this subject as they are about to present a Resolution on Modern Slavery to the Federation Conference at Gateshead next week. If the Resolution is carried, clubs throughout the Federation will work together to raise awareness of modern slavery.

Food Bank

Club members continue to support the Dundee Food Bank by donating groceries. The club has been contributing in this way for over a year and plan to do so as long as there is a need within the city.

Shoe Boxes

It is the time of year to prepare Christmas shoe boxes for those children who will have a bleak festive time without these gifts. The club has been donating boxes for many years and consider  this a very worthwhile activity.
