Club member, Pam Cairns, launched her second novel ‘Trampled Shoots’ on February 11th. An excellent support of over seventy members and friends attended the event which was held at the Invercarse Hotel.
Pam writes issues based fiction suitable. ‘Trampled Shoots’ raises awareness of exploitation across two continents.
A short synopsis:
Young Dr Tim expected to be clinically challenged when he arrived at Nueva Casa deep in the Amazon jungle of Peru; he wasn’t disappointed. But after he was abruptly wakened by members of a terrorist gang, just staying alive became his priority.
His sister, Katie, struggled with boredom as a trainee journalist until she interviewed Laura and heard her story of deception and brutality. The whirlwind that followed changed her forever.
A fast paced novel based over two continents, where two young adults fight against the evil that confronts them….. but both refuse to given in.
