Donna Jennings talked to Dundee Soroptimists about Sam’s House at the club meeting on November 14th.
Sam’s House is in Lebanon where child refugees from Syria, who live in a camp in Bekaa Valley, can have a therapeutic safe place where they can learn to play and express themselves through art,crafts, music and drama. By raising money through her charity ‘For the Love of a Child’ which Donna set up following the unexpected death of her son Sam, she is able to provide training for people on the ground and allow children to process their trauma due to their awful experiences of war and use her own loss to help other young children.
