Purple Hippos for Dementia Friends<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Some of the 300 hippos we have knitted<\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u00a0 knitted purple hippos for use with Dementia Friends Training in Fife schools.\u00a0 The children in P6 and P7 who complete the training are given a hippo along with their pin and certificate. Over 300 hippos\u00a0 have been given to the Dementia Friends Training Coordinator for Fife.<\/p>\n

Helping refugees in Samos<\/h3>\n

We\u00a0 donated sewing machines and knitted items to React, a local charity which supports refugees on the island of Samos in Greece.<\/p>\n

Facemasks for the pandemic<\/h3>\n

During the coronavirus pandemic we made facemasks.\u00a0 Some were sold to raise funds for the\u00a0 Fife Law Centre. Others have been given to\u00a0 Frontline Fife and also Fife Young Carers.\u00a0 Facemask extenders were knitted and given to several local care homes.<\/p>\n

Woodmill School<\/h3>\n

Woodmill School Special Needs Unit were given cushions and\u00a0 blankets\u00a0 to use during their relaxation sessions.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Blankets for Women’s Aid<\/h3>\n

Twenty-seven hand knitted and crocheted blankets were given to Women’s Aid in Fife for children being supported by them.\u00a0 Each blanket has an orange label saying ‘This blanket has been specially made for you.
