Soroptimist International. Ellesmere Port & District
President’s Welcome Message
I have enjoyed being a Soroptimist for seven years and during this time I have made a number of supportive and valued friends. I have taken the opportunity to visit various parts of the U.K. for social outings and fund raising events with other club members. We have also attended Soroptimist Conference where we have been enlightened by talks from many interesting speakers.
I aim to keep the fun in fund raising for our members as they support me with my two main charities, Hinderton School Ellesmere Port for children with autism spectrum conditions and social communication difficulties, and MQ – Transforming Mental Health through Research. We will continue to offer service and support to the local Foodbank, Women’s Refuge, Forum Housing for homeless youngsters and Naylor Court Residence for the Elderly.
I am pleased to be able to continue to work with local Girl Guides on some of our projects and to support other Soroptimists in their national and International work.
SI Ellesmere Port & District is a friendly club and I invite anybody who is interested in what we do to visit us and join in our activities.
