{"id":6223,"date":"2021-12-05T17:04:10","date_gmt":"2021-12-05T16:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/epsom-and-district\/?p=6223"},"modified":"2021-12-17T16:56:51","modified_gmt":"2021-12-17T15:56:51","slug":"promoting-ourselves-at-the-christmas-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/epsom-and-district\/2021\/12\/05\/promoting-ourselves-at-the-christmas-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"Promoting ourselves at the Christmas Fair!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">It was an early start for us at the Christmas Fair, Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel.\u00a0 Setting up the stall to appeal to passers by was by no means an easy task but we managed it and were quite proud of our achievement.\u00a0 We were surrounded by stalls who clearly had exhibited their wares before and knew how to entice people over by using Christmas lights and treats such as a box of chocolates!\u00a0 These are worth considering for other occasions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Those helping out on the day were Diana, Sally, Veronica and they were joined by Jane and Norma. It was a well attended event with stalls selling a variety of products indoors and outdoors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">With our banner and leaflets ( including our new Club leaflet) available,\u00a0 it was relatively easy to explain to people about Soroptimists and what our aims as an organisation are. People were told about the three domestic abuse charities we support i.e. Reigate and Banstead Women&#8217;s Aid , East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services and True Honour.
