SI Glasgow City encourages everyone to <\/strong>support women and girl survivors of violence to stay safe and free of violence. Take action during this year\u2019s 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence.<\/p>\n

The\u00a016 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence<\/a>\u00a0is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. It was started by activists at the inaugural Women\u2019s Global Leadership Institute in 1991 and continues to be coordinated each year by the Center for Women\u2019s Global Leadership. It is used as an organizing strategy by individuals and organizations around the world to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.<\/p>\n

In 2022, the Campaign is continuing its multi-year theme of Ending Femicide<\/strong>.
