This is called Programme Action. Our projects are focussed on improving the lives of women and girls worldwide.<\/h3>\n<h3>At a club level we work on a number of projects trying to focus on women and girls but not exclusively. We work on projects in 3 groups covering the following areas:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 21px\">Food Security and Healthcare<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 21px\">Environmental Sustainability<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 21px\">Economic Empowerment &amp; Violence and Conflict Resolution<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>We work with the Sustainable Development\u00a0 Goals.<\/h3>\n<h3>Each group has a Facilitator and a Co-ordinator. The club\u2019s Programme Action Officer co-ordinates the work of the groups. Groups sometimes work on joint projects with all club members contributing to the project.<\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Our Programme Action involves various activities both local and National and International such as:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/work-on-the-sensory-garden-2016\/\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px\"><strong>Maintaining the Sensory garden<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 24px\"><strong>Supporting the Federation Project <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/what-we-do\/empowering-girls-in-nepal\/\">&#8221; Empowering Girls in Nepal&#8221;<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 24px\"><strong>Raising awareness of <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/our-work-to-stop-violence-against-women\/\">Violence against women<\/a>, including support for Barrow Women&#8217;s Centre and Springfield Refuge in Kendal<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 24px\"><strong>Developing and running <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/singing-for-the-brain\/\">&#8220;Singing for Memory&#8221;<\/a> in the Grange area.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 24px\"><strong>Raising awareness of <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/modern-day-slavery-and-trafficking-survey-october-2017\/\">Modern Slavery and Trafficking<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 24px\">Environmental awareness<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>The work in PA is an essential part of being a Soroptimist<\/strong> and is often fun as well as a commitment. Our club work is reported via the online reporting system to Soroptimist International and helps to maintain our status at the UN.<\/h3>\n<h3>You can view\u00a0 short reports of some of our activities
