On August 3rd\u00a0 Grange Soroptimists\u00a0 with Hannah Barnes from\u00a0 the Morecambe Bay Partnership\u00a0\u00a0 https:\/\/www.morecambebay.org.uk\/<\/a> organised\u00a0 a Beach clean and\u00a0 were astounded that 50 people turned out\u00a0 to pick up litter on Grange foreshore to improve the marine environment. 46.5 Kg of rubbish was collected in 2 hours!\u00a0 This was a very appropriate project as July 27th – Aug 11th is National Marine week. \u00a0https:\/\/www.wildlifetrusts.org\/get-involved\/campaign\/national-marine-week<\/a><\/h1>\n

The Soroptimists\u00a0 will be on\u00a0 the Promenade, Grange-over-Sands LA11 7DH between the two cafes on Saturday 17th August\u00a0 2 – 4 pm for the “From Trash to Treasure”\u00a0 event ( weather permitting)! This will use\u00a0 some of the items collected to produce a work of art. ALL WELCOME especially children ( must be accompanied by an adult)<\/h1>\n
