[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Members organised a Burns Night on Zoom inviting\u00a0 Soroptimists from NW Region and beyond including 2 members of SI Braunschweig<\/a> in Germany, including their President Brigitte. Ewen Cameron piped in the haggis and then recited the Address to the Haggis from memory , which was most impressive. Rebecca Bilkau educated and entertained us with the Immortal Memory, rounding off with husband Michael singing \u00a0 A Man’s a Man for a’ that\u00a0 in German!<\/p>\n

Richard Grout proposed the Toast to the Lassies and Gill Bitcon Replied on behalf of the lassies, both poking gentle fun at the opposite sex.<\/p>\n

The evening rounded off with a quiz and some singing ably led by Janice including Auld Lang Syne. A good time was had by all, with help from a wee dram.<\/p>\n

The vote of thanks\u00a0 was by Regional President Val Thomas\u00a0 who thanked\u00a0 everyone for their contribution to the evening including our Zoom host Janice.<\/p>\n
