We\u00a0 had fun and achieved 112 lengths\u00a0 swimming in a relay for 55 minutes, raising \u00a3557 which with Gift Aid will exceed \u00a3600.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious meal at the home of Club member Sheila.<\/p>\n<p>ShelterBox provides vital tools and shelter for families in disaster areas worldwide. Women and children are disproprtionately affected by disasters and we therefore like to support <a href=\"https:\/\/shelterbox.org\/\">ShelterBox<\/a> every year.<\/p>\n<p>ShelterBox are heavily involved in Gaza and their stocks are very depleted so our donation will help to support families.<\/p>\n<p>Club members have swum in the Swimathon\u00a0 for 38 years and raised funds for ShelterBox sice 2009.<\/p>\n<p>The total raised at the Swimathon this year by all teams was \u00a37328 (will be more with Gift Aid)<\/p>\n<p>If you want to find out more about us or join our Club please\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/contact-us\/\">CONTACT US<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;6489&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]We swam in the Swimathon in Kendal\u00a0 raising funds for ShelterBox.
