{"id":6876,"date":"2024-12-29T17:21:11","date_gmt":"2024-12-29T16:21:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/?p=6876"},"modified":"2024-12-29T17:25:27","modified_gmt":"2024-12-29T16:25:27","slug":"6876","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/2024\/12\/29\/6876\/","title":{"rendered":"Grange Soroptimists Write for Rights 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;6853&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Members wrote in support of the Write for Rights campaign run by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.org.uk\/write-for-rights\">Amnesty International<\/a>, writing letters of solidarity to victims of Human Rights abuses and letters to officials appealing for action. About 60 letters \/ E mails\/ Tweets\/ Facebook posts were sent off \/ posted on social media in December to coincide with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/observances\/human-rights-day\/know-your-rights\">Human Rights Day<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December \u2014 the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
